Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Aquilyn IPTV Player (“Aquilyn”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Aquilyn IPTV Player.

Aquilyn is an independent media player application. It does not provide, host, sell, distribute, or include television channels, IPTV subscriptions, movies, series, playlists, streams, or other media content.

1. Information You Provide

Aquilyn lets you add your own IPTV or media sources. Information you may enter includes:

  • Xtream server URL, username, and password
  • M3U or M3U8 playlist URL
  • EPG or XMLTV URL
  • A reference to a local playlist file selected by you
  • A local profile name

These details are stored locally on your device. Sensitive IPTV connection details are protected using encryption backed by the Android Keystore. They are not sent to an Aquilyn-owned server because Aquilyn does not operate a backend server, cloud database, or user account service.

2. IPTV Provider Connections

When you test a profile, synchronize a catalog, retrieve EPG information, load artwork, or play media, Aquilyn connects directly from your device to the server, host, or service provider specified by you.

Your server address, username, password, playlist information, IP address, and related request data may therefore be processed by the IPTV provider, playlist host, EPG host, artwork host, or media host that you choose. Aquilyn does not act as an intermediary for these connections and does not receive or store those credentials on an Aquilyn server.

Those independent third parties may apply their own privacy policies, retention practices, and security measures. You are responsible for reviewing the practices of any provider you use.

3. HTTP and HTTPS Connections

Aquilyn supports secure HTTPS connections where the user’s provider supports them. If you explicitly choose an unencrypted HTTP connection, information sent between your device and that provider may be visible in transit. Use HTTPS whenever your provider supports it.

4. Local Application Data

To provide its features, Aquilyn stores certain data locally on your device, which may include:

  • Profile information and encrypted connection details
  • Playlist, catalog, category, and EPG metadata
  • Channel, movie, series, season, and episode metadata
  • Favorites, recently viewed items, and playback progress
  • App settings, language choices, and consent status
  • Locally cached application data

This local data is used to operate the app and is not uploaded to an Aquilyn backend. Aquilyn does not provide cloud synchronization for this information.

5. User Accounts and Aquilyn Services

Aquilyn does not require or provide an Aquilyn user account. There is no Aquilyn registration, membership, cloud profile, backend API, or cloud database. Profiles created in the app are local profiles used to organize media sources entered by the user.

6. Google Mobile Ads

The phone and tablet experience uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and may display Google AdMob banner advertisements on permitted home and browsing screens. Advertisements are not placed in the media player itself, during channel switching, or on synchronization and error screens.

In the current release, Google Mobile Ads is not initialized and AdMob ad requests are not made when Aquilyn is operating in its Android TV or Android box interface.

Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares certain information in accordance with Google’s policies. This can include:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate a device’s general or approximate location
  • App and ad interactions, including app launches, taps, and ad views
  • Diagnostic and performance information
  • Android Advertising ID, App Set ID, and, where applicable, other device or account-related identifiers
  • Technical device and network information used to deliver and secure ads

Google may process this information for advertising, ad delivery and measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and privacy or consent management. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

Aquilyn does not directly read or store your Advertising ID or IP address for its own independent purposes.

Google information

7. Privacy Choices and Consent

Aquilyn uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable to manage advertising privacy and consent requirements. Depending on your country or region, a consent or privacy choices form may be shown before an ad request is permitted.

When required, advertising is not requested until the applicable consent process allows the app to request ads. Where Google indicates that a privacy options entry point is required, those choices are available again from the app’s Settings screen.

8. Location

Aquilyn does not request precise location or GPS permission and does not collect GPS location. However, Google Mobile Ads may process the device’s IP address to estimate general or approximate location for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Telemetry

Aquilyn does not currently integrate Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or an Aquilyn-operated remote telemetry or crash-reporting service.

Google Mobile Ads may still process ad interaction, analytics, and diagnostic information as described in the advertising section above. Platform providers and third-party services may also process technical information under their own policies.

10. Device Permissions and Technical Information

Aquilyn does not intentionally collect or upload contacts, microphone recordings, camera content, the device phone number, precise GPS location, Android ID, or personal files unrelated to a playlist selected by the user.

The app locally inspects technical characteristics such as whether the device is a television, whether a touchscreen is available, and the screen dimensions so that it can show the appropriate interface. Aquilyn does not transmit those interface-detection results to an Aquilyn server.

11. Third-Party Services

Aquilyn may connect to third-party services selected by the user or required for app functionality, including IPTV or media providers, playlist and EPG hosts, poster and channel-logo hosts, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform.

These services operate independently and may have their own privacy policies, data practices, and terms. Aquilyn is not responsible for the privacy or content practices of independent third parties.

12. Media and IPTV Content

Aquilyn is a media player only. It does not provide IPTV subscriptions, supply playlists or television channels, host streams, sell or distribute movies or series, control third-party content, or verify the ownership or licensing of third-party content.

Users must only use playlists, services, streams, and media they are legally authorized to access. Users and their respective service providers are responsible for the lawful use of content and services.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Aquilyn does not maintain a cloud account or backend database containing IPTV profiles. Application data is primarily retained locally for as long as the relevant profile or app data remains on the device.

You can delete a local profile and its associated local information from the app where supported. You can also remove all local Aquilyn data by clearing the app’s data in Android system settings or uninstalling the app.

Information processed independently by Google, IPTV providers, or other third parties is governed by those parties’ retention and deletion policies.

14. Security

Aquilyn uses Android platform security mechanisms and Android Keystore-backed encryption to protect sensitive locally stored IPTV connection details. Network requests use the security provided by the selected HTTP or HTTPS connection. No electronic storage or network communication method can guarantee absolute security.

15. Children’s Privacy

Aquilyn is not specifically designed or directed toward children. It does not knowingly operate a children’s account system or intentionally collect children’s personal information through an Aquilyn backend. Advertising and consent behavior remains subject to Google policies and applicable law.

16. International Use

Aquilyn may be available in multiple countries. Google advertising services, IPTV providers, and other services selected by users may process information in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Such processing is governed by the applicable third party’s practices and applicable law.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Aquilyn’s features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
